To build a bigger list quickly and easily
This is a great question and there are numerous answers depending on your topic.
For me the easiest way is as follows.
- Create a solid follow up series
- Test it to discover what revenue you get from it
- Now you know what kind of return you get
- Pay for trafiic - source will depend on your niche
If you take the time and (it will cost you time and some money) create the system you can leave it on auto pilot. Once you know the value it is easy.
Create one then start building the next one. Rinse and repeat.
Your expense and time is in creating the system then it is just a matter of keeping the system running.

Question of the week
This question was asked and brings up a good point although I don;t think the questioner realizes it.
Should you set up splash pages for each sales page, or can you set up one splash for your webpage pertaining to the products? I use articles on my main webpages, then add links going to sales pages.
My first comment is that I almost never send people to a sales page directly through my advertising. Rather than promote a specific product I always promote my list or subset of my list.
Here’s why:
If I send people directly to a sales page (with the exception of my sales page for my product) I can only get one of two results.
They buy - good for me but how do I follow up? The product owner gets the contact info not me.
Or
They don’t buy - bad for me and spent my time or money with no way to follow up.
Now if I spend my effort on my squeeze page then after they are on my list I can send them to the sales page and now no matter what they do I can still follow up with them.
Much better use of my resources. Which way do you promote?

Question of the week
What are hybrid squeeze pages? How do you make them, and should we be using them instead of regular squeeze pages? What do you think of Russell Brunson’s Squeeze Page template? (I know, you asked for a SINGLE question, but they’re all kind of related!)
First I haven’t looked at Russell’s template so I can’t comment on that. In the copy course I am taking John Hossler is recommending much shorter pages for squeeze pages from the older long form style.
Short quick pages with 4 to 6 bullets have been testing best. My advice is to test both and see what gives you the best results. Remember that the bullets need to be benefits not features and you need to create cusiousity.

Do you maximize your opportunities?

It always amazes me when I go through a signup process and someone uses the default pages. If you are doing this you are losing money.
This is a very easy way to start monetizing your list process. Now you don’t need a huge sales page here but there are a few ways you can easily increae your income while not doing anything more than a short one time bit of work.
If you belong to any membership site they probably have a thank you page ad. Use it.
Make sure that when someone signs up and clicks the button to start the verification process that you have an actual page to send them to. Really this is a great place for a one time offer but if you aren’t comfortable with that here is an alternative.
Create a simple page that explains explains that they need to verify their email to get whatever you are offering. Right after that add the copy and paste HTML for the thank you page ad for your favorite product or membership site.
Quite a few good product and program owners will supply you with this so it is just a matter of copy and paste to add it. If you would like to see an example here is a page I use.
Adding just this one thing can create extra income for you.
Look at your process and make sure that you aren’t missing areas like this to increase your profit from the same effort. You’ll be glad you did.

Todays question:
Which type of advertising is best for building my list? Traffic exchanges, safelists, classified ads, ezine ads etc.
Interesting question but actually one with no correct answer for everyone. The key is the advertising that is best is the one you learn how to use most effectively. The real answer is are you tailoring your squeeze pages and the offer you make to the people that you are advertising to.
Lets take a quick look at traffic exchanges. Your audience for the most part are people loking to make money on line on a budget. If you offer something that will make that easier, double thier profits or something along those lines you should do well.
However, if you are offering a free e-course on self help you might find some interest but your results would be much better if you were adveretising in an ezine that talks about that topic. The audience would be much more targetted and interested in your offer.
Hope that helps but as always the key is to test and track your results and you will quickly know the right answer for you.

3 Questions to improve your efficiency

Ever notice that when you seem extremely busy and working hard that you don’t always get anything accomplished that you wanted to?
Do you wonder why?
Here are the 3 questions you need to answer to become more efficient.
1. Do you plan your day or does your day plan you?
Taking the time to plan your day before you start can be a huge help in keeping you on track.
2. Ask the question every time you are faced with a distraction - does this forward my business goals?
Every time you get a distraction or see an offer ask this question. When you are building your daily plan ask this question. If the answer is no then that is busy work or not a product you need. One of the biggest problems is not staying on track and it is extremely easy to have happen.
3. What did I accomplish today?
Ask this at the end of every day before you start your planning for tomorrow. If you are honest with yourself you will start to see where you have wasted time and effort. Remember that it is usually the thing you don’t want to do that are the most necessary to take you to the next level. If you are not doing things that are uncomfortable then you are not improving your business.
There are many more that could be added to this list but take the time to use these three questions regularly and I promise you will improve your business.

Where is the big red button?

Everybody I talk to that is looking to build or business or just make a few dollars on line is looking for the big red button to push to be instantly successful.
Come on even if you won’t admit it you have been looking too. I know have and have the t-shirt, coffe mug and more.
Lots of copywriters make huge amounts of money to make you think that this product or that product is just that button. They don’t actually say it but they sure make you feel like this is the one thing that you can just plugin and BOOM!!! you are on your way to the lifestyle you have always dreamed about.
What would you pay if you could actually find that button? After all if having it and pushing it could make you thousands or even millions of dollars what would it be worth to buy it?
Would you gladly pay $10,000 for a button that would generate you a $1,000,000?
Well, sorry to say there isn’t a big red button. Of course you knew that but like the rest of us you still keep hoping.
The real big red button is your ability to communicate and get ideas across to other people. The ability to write in a way that can compel action.
It is something that you do every day and don’t even realize it verbally. Every time you interact with someone else you sell or you buy.
Tell your daughter to clean her room and if she does then you were the seller and she bought what you sold. Now if she is stubborn like mine is then maybe she sold you on why she shouldn’t instead of you selling her on why she should. Makes you sharpen your skills to get the room clean doesn’t it?
The key though is that everyone has the ability you just need to practice using it and take what you do everyday and put it into writing. The more often you do this the better you become at it.
If you want the big red button for your business start writing each and every day. Go sign up at Blogger and create a blog and make it private. Write there everyday where it is just you. Write on any topic just to become comfortable writing.
Hey it works. If an Old Bald Guy who almost failed English his senior year in high school can write an article like this you can too. Start today.

I’m steadily giving away the OMC but am getting no rebranders. Any hints on how to further encourage people?
First to the questioner congratulations on using the system. The number of people that will rebrand will be dependent on how active they become within what is taught. If you are following up and getting them to the seminars, making sure they see the newsletters referring them back to the book, etc that will help your conversion.
Not everyone will see the value on first glance because a lot of people are looking for the magic button they can push for instant gratification. The though of actually putting together a system and using it to build a list, while effective isn’t sexy.
The more though that YOU build the relationship with your list the better your conversion will be. The real power of rebranding though is to give you the top item of your funnel - the free entry point. Some that don’t rebrand will still use the recommendations in the book and use your links for the various programs.
More importantly, you are building a list that will allow you to market many other things to in a tell - don’t sell fashion. That is where the real power is in the back end as the relationship between you and your list becomes stronger.

I have changed up my blog The Old Bald Guy to allow readers to rate the various reviews I place there. It uses a plugin called Rating Dominator that will allow any visitor to comment and rate the review from 1 to 5 the way that I set it up.
This can be an effective way to set up what Russell Brunson calls affiliate landmines that people can just run into and generate a sale for you days, weeks or months after you did the work. Check it out if you are looking for another way to add revenue to your business in an ongoing way.
